3 more Days until AMD announces the new CPU's. Magic will happen to the Ryzen pricing afterwards...

What kind of magic, prices up or down for the current Gen?

I think we will see the current prices drop a bit more on the 5000 series.

I actually believe we can see the 5800x by Black Friday for 199 and the 5600 for 99 bucks. Similar stuff happened with the 2000 series when 3000 came out. I got my 2700 back then for 105.

Intel is also gonna announce their 13th gen soon (late September is what I read, so should be soon) and prices for 12th gen should come down hopefully.
Thanks to AMD for competing with Intel and forcing it to be less predatory and keep their prices down.

Except on the low-end… absolutely no competition for 12100, 12400, or even 12600K

Yup holding out for the 99 5600 deal. Seen it a few times on Newegg already but gone in seconds each time
