But the point allows for getting into corners (think like a wooden door).
If you're just sanding something completely flat, then this wouldn't be the proper tool.

If the employee is just arbitrarily enforcing a "sold as bundle" rule then just go during another shift or to a different store.
You are absolutely correct. After a sanding project of a cabinet, the Velcro on the sanding attachment melted off at the edges. Did the job, but wasn't designed to last.
Can you return the sander and keep the battery for free?
