$1473 for an open box excellent condition. I've bought my last 3 macs open box from Best Buy and haven't had a problem with any of them. You lose a little bit of the 12 month warranty. It starts whenever it was first sold, but you can still add applecare.

It's not free although there is a free trial if you'd like to experience it first before making a decision.

Will Costco price match ?
Costco has the same price $1600. It comes with one year apple manufacturer warranty plus 2nd year warranty from Costco. CITI card has stopped the 3rd year warranty. Ofcourse it gives you 2% cash back though.

Manager discretion. Most of the time they tell me the max they can do is 10% off, not a full PM. And given that, I'd rather buy from Costco anyway - an extra year just for buying there, and if I use their Visa card I get 2 MORE years on top of that, for a total of four years warranty against HW failure. Hard to beat that...
CITI had stopped the additional warranty FYI.

No, someone posted a login to the web page (CIti's). I did. I then found my card, and then I found my card's extra features, including the two year warranty (extra, additional).

Needless to say, I've printed this out, PDF'd it, and will put it in the MacBook Pro's receipts drawer.

You're taken to a new site
Click VIEW CARDS if you have more than one card
Select the Costco Citi Card

The 14" MBP is $700 difference in price (with taxes) vs the MacBook Pro 13.3" Laptop - Apple M1 chip - 8GB Memory - 256GB SSD - Space Gray. Is the $700 worth the differences? TIA!
That $700 difference is this:
16gb vs 8gb
512gb vs 256
14" vs 13"
heavier vs lighter
More power vs less
Its up to you as the user to decide whether or not its worth it. Just remember that laptops stay as you buy them. So typically would not recoomend a 8gb laptop. Yes, Apple does well with 8gb, but I still prefer 16gb. Drive space on the other hand, is a bit different, as many have external ssd's they use, which are far cheaper than you would pay buying from Apple.

Okay, I'll bite. Find me a PC with the same horse power comparable CPU, 16/512, 1000 nits display with Mini OLED. 120Hz refresh rates, stereo speaker. Also, while we are at it let's get one so it's not made out of cheap plastic.
So from my point of view, only thing useful in this list is CPU. I am sure any current gen i7 or ryzen 7 will do.

Nobody is using these laptops to replace desktops(which are real workhorse).

I am a programmer, for years I built my own desktops, but laptops have become so powerful I have no need for a desktop anymore. I have a Dell G5 with an i7 10750H & 32GB RAM running Linux as my primary work machine. It's a beast.
This MB Pro, is going to be my personal laptop. Back in the dino days (i.e. before the internet) I used to write software for Macs. Loved them, but my work has been on the Windows or Linux platform since then. Going back to my roots Smilie

So you got two offers for BB credit card users and are able to use both despite it saying new members? It sounds like you used the 10% off (usually in the way of rewards, not actual discount).
No No, when I signed up for a new CC to buy the MBP 14 for 1699 (last time's deal) , they were offering 10% off one time for new CC users. But this time, they are offering one time 15% off for new users. So had I waited for this 1599 deal and signed up for the BB CC now, it would have been (1599 - 15%) instead of (1699 - 10%). Again, FML. Frown

Same price for Excellent Open Box. Checked when I got home and only had 4 battery cycles. Practically brand new.
