I paid $100 more for the M2 macbook air, so I dont think this M1 is that good a deal.

ive bought 3 Macs and no verification is asked. if you go in store they will verify, but shipping or pickup needs no verification

That's not what I said, nor what I meant to imply. I said that "the return of Magsafe is definitely worth getting a newer model."

Side note: The M2 MBA models have Magsafe.

i'm not an apple person. daughter is heading to college in the fall and asked for a MacBook pro. I don't think she knows much about MacBooks.

not sure this will suffice for 4 years of college and maybe law school. leaning towards this best buy MacBook Pro 13.3" Laptop - Apple M2 chip - 24GB Memory - 1TB SSD for $1399. any apple experts with thoughts?
