AM4 has been an amazing chipset. I can't believe Intel fanboys accept buying a new mobo for every new build.
$100 is enough for 5600X.
It was generally just a question of when I'd do it. I don't see chip prices taking a big drop anytime soon and once AM4 stop shipping, it sure as heck isn't gonna go down. Either way, I'm quite happy and nothing anyone says will really change that

Used 3600/3600X are going for $130-180, at least be realistic about this product being in the $200 price point.
This isn't a super slick deal but given the market conditions of being sold out for most of 2020/2021, it's decent for people who already own AM4 boards. I don't really see the 5600X going much lower than $220-240 in the near future since AMD will likely charge more for 3D V-cache versions instead of dropping the prices of the non-3D V-cache versions. We don't even know if they will release anything else outside of the 5800X3D since Zen4 is coming out.
It's definitely not worth upgrading to if you're coming from a 3600/3600X, I'd only consider it if you're rocking an older Ryzen 1000/2000 on a 400/500 series AM4 board.
